The doctor can give you many helpful tips that can help you live a healthier lifestyle. There are many different options that can help you lose weight such as dieting, exercising, and surgery. Childhood obesity has become an epidemic. We have more overweight children than healthy ones. Some of this is due to our modern technology, and fast food. A great way for children to tip the scale on obesity is to get out and play. Playing helps burn calories as well as burn energy. Children should also have a balanced diet. Parents can ensure that their children are eating healthy by replacing candy with fruits. At supper time consider offering more vegetables and healthier foods. You can also include dancing for children since most of them enjoy this. I took the initiative to offer more fruits and vegetables to my child to maintain his health. At times, it gets very challenging to get a picky three year old to eat healthy, but I keep offering the vegetables anyway. As an adult who is battling obesity and high blood pressure I am taking a stand and eating better. I also make sure I get the exercise I need. Once you have found creative ways to help you lose weight the next steps that you would need to take is changing old habits. Change is always possible and a person is never too out of shape, overweight, or old to make healthy choices. Learning to stay on track after weight loss is very important. As we all know weight gain is progressive, but losing weight is not that easy. People should learn to maintain a healthy diet. It is very important to stay focused and learn the proper way to treat yourself during weight loss. This can help motivate you, and this can even speed up your metabolism. Set a goal for yourself. After that goal is achieved then it is ok to treat yourself. This can motivate you to lose more weight and also help prevent you from binge eating. Obesity is at its best in America. Learning to tip the scale on obesity can save lives. Battling obesity in America can be a big task. We have a variety of foods to choose from; making it harder to lose weight. As a parent, and an African American, I am at a greater risk for obesity. I have always been accustomed to eating greasy fatty foods. Since I have never been the vegetable type; I am at a greater risk for things like obesity, high blood pressure, and even diabetes. â€Å"Type 2 diabetes is a disease that affects millions of people and their families—especially African Americans who are at an even higher risk for this serious chronic condition†. (CDC, 2012). If we changed our way of eating and cooking, as well as take a stand to become healthier, then African Americans would be able to live a healthier lifestyle. Obesity is an epidemic; for many this is the fight of our lives that gets more serious each day. â€Å"Obesity is on the rise—more than 72 million adults in this country weigh more than they should and its making us sick. Heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, breast and colon cancers, and many other diseases can be prevented or managed with the important decision to lose weight†. (CDC, 2012). Many are not aware of the risk that comes with being obese. The highest possible score you can earn on the ACT is 36(on a scale of 1-36). This 36 is a composite, or average, of your four subject area scores- English, Reading, Math, and Science.Each section is also scored on a scale of 1-36. But why? First of all, this will help you focus your studying on becoming 100% consistent. If you study with the allowance of making a few mistakes, any additional mistakes you make will definitely cost you the 36. But if you study with the goal of getting a 36 on each section, if you do end up making one or two mistakes, you could still net a 36 composite. This official chart estimates how raw ACT section scores will translate into scaled scores. Based on this official chart, you need to aim for a perfect raw score- that means answering every single question correctly- on both Reading and Science to get a 36. Rabies Rabies virus belongs to the Lyssavirus family in which all the members are animal viruses mainly found in bats and are of a bullet-like shape. The virus is usually spread through bites or scratches. Rabies was first suspected in bats in Brazil during the 1910s. In 1931, it was diagnosed for the first time in Trinidad. Rabies is most common in Asia and found more in wild animals than in domestic animals or humans. There has only been one person who miraculously survived rabies even though she had never been previously exposed to it. Rabies virus belongs to the order Mononegavirales, and within this group, it falls into the Rhabdoviridae family because of its shape. This family includes three genera of animal viruses: Lyssavirus, Ephemerovirus, and Vesiculovirus. The genus Lyssavirus includes the rabies virus and other viruses that are mainly found in bats. The Rabies virus has a distinct bullet-like shape. The length of the virus structure is of about 180 nm with a cross-sectional diameter of about 75nm. Like a bullet, one end of the virus is rounded and the other end is planar or concave. The genome encodes 5-proteins: nucleoprotein (N), phosphoprotein (P), matrix protein (M), glycoprotein (G), and polymerase (L). The two major structural components of viruses like rabies that fall under the rhabdoviruses family are: a helical ribonucleoprotein core (RNP) and a surrounding envelope. Rabies is an RNA virus. The arrangements of the five proteins and the RNA genome determine the structure of the rabies virus. The genome is a single-stranded, non-segmented, RNA of about 12kb that is followed by the five proteins. The rabies virus is usually spread through bites or scratches, abrasions, or through open wounds in the skin when saliva (and in certain conditions, the urine) from an infected animal that makes contact with the open flesh. The virus-induced, aggressive biting-behavior in the infected animal, along with the viral budding into the salivary glands, maximize the chances of viral infection to a new host. Rabies has been around for many years causing the deaths of animals as well as humans. During the 1910s, rabies in bats was suspected in Brazil. In 1931, it was definitively diagnosed for the first time in Trinidad in Latin America. Since 1985, bats have been the main rabies reservoirs identified.
